Stu Silverman trio

Born in San Francisco, Stu has spent his life immersed in the music, culture and history of the city by the bay. Picking up the guitar at age 9, Stu spent years internalizing the music of Jerry Garcia, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles and other classic rock heroes. Later enamored as a teenager by names like Wes Montgomery, Jim Hall and Barney Kessel, he’s spent years chasing the sound of the great jazz guitarists of the 1960’s and beyond.

Now living in Oakland and an accomplished purveyor of bebop guitar language Stu plays and teaches across the Bay Area. Find him regularly swinging at San Francisco hangs ‘The Page’, ‘The Boom Boom Room’, Waystone’, ‘Comstock Saloon’ and other local favorites.
